
As a Content Specialist at Scooter Media, Tabari helps clients tell meaningful stories by highlighting their projects and innovations through a variety of writing and visual initiatives. A dedicated practitioner of both the written and spoken word, Tabari crafts thought leadership pieces and media materials on behalf of clients and their leaders for major publications and platforms.
Tabari brings 25+ years of communications experience to the Scooter Media team. His career began at WKRC-TV Local 12’s news department before moving on to award-winning reporting roles at The Community Press, where he earned the Outstanding Continuing Coverage Award in 2002, and CiN Weekly/The Cincinnati Enquirer. His public relations work has spanned several respected organizations, including the Cincinnati Museum Center and the Cincinnati Bengals. His freelance writing has been featured in outlets including Ebony.com and Xavier Nation, the official publication of Xavier University Athletics, among others.
A two-time graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Tabari earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication. He was a member of the Darwin T. Turner Scholars Program and the Albert C. Yates Fellowship Program.
In addition to finding joy in gardening/landscaping, Tabari is also an avid autograph/action figure collector as well as a sneakerhead. Outside of his professional work, he is an award-winning stand-up comedian with two albums available on Pandora and Spotify and a 1-hour YouTube special. He is also the creator of McCoy on Movies, a movie blog he has curated for 15 years (and counting).
