A passionate pursuer of both the written and spoken word, Tabari brings 20+ years’ of communications experience to the Scooter Media team where he helps to create content that shares clients’ inspired projects and innovations. Beginning his career in Local 12 WKRC-TV’s news dept. while in college, Tabari also worked as a reporter for both The Community Press (where he won an award for best continuing coverage) and The Cincinnati Enquirer. His public relations experience includes stints with the Cincinnati Museum Center and his beloved Cincinnati Bengals, utilizing his writing skills to compose releases, coordinate interviews, transcripts, stage events and related media tasks. In addition, his freelance writing has seen his work featured in several outlets including Ebony.com and Xavier Nation, the official publication of Xavier University Athletics.
A two-time graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in communication, Tabari resides in the Silverton suburb of Cincinnati, two miles from where he grew up in Pleasant Ridge. An avid autograph, sneaker and action figure collector, Tabari is also an award-winning comedian (his two albums can regularly be heard on Spotify and Pandora internet radio), movie blogger and the creator/host of the entertainment-based podcast A Tight 45 with Tabari McCoy.
