As a Media Relations Specialist at Scooter Media, Katie helps amplify the voices of local organizations and businesses by sharing their stories and highlighting the positive impact they make in the Greater Cincinnati area. She works closely with clients to secure media coverage that authentically reflects their mission and fosters meaningful community connections.
Katie graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Journalism and began her career as a multimedia journalist in the television news industry. During her time in news, she reported on community issues, historical events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and inspirational stories of people striving to make a difference. Her reporting experience spans southern West Virginia, Evansville, Indiana, and Northern Kentucky, providing her with a deep understanding of regional storytelling.
Now based in Newport with her cat, Binx, Katie enjoys exploring the riverfront, especially on sunny days, and has become an avid runner in recent years. A fan of all things fall and pumpkin spice, she also loves curling up with a good book, streaming movies and shows, and finding local coffee shops or breweries.

Having a story get picked up by other stations outside of my coverage area. Was interviewed myself about a piece I turned on a tattoo artist helping breast cancer survivors. It’s a great feeling seeing the stories I tell and the people spotlighted in them receive such an audience.
