As Client Services Director, Krystan works to ensure the Scooter Media team is delivering world-class service to its clients, as well as growing and retaining the talented team of communication professionals at the organization. She focuses on client satisfaction and retention, employee retention and growth, and profitability for the firm. She works collaboratively with the firm’s leadership to continue building and strengthening the Scooter Media team, service and overarching brand. She also leads client accounts, developing communications strategies and overseeing the tactical execution of those plans.
Krystan started her career as an editorial assistant and reporter for the Community Press and Cincinnati Enquirer newspapers before moving to public relations. She has spent more than a decade in communications working on strategy, media relations, social media and other marketing, advertising and event planning for clients across a range of industries, including non-profit, health, food service, trade associations and professional services industries. She was named PR Professional of the Year by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in 2019 and has been a part of several award-winning campaigns recognized by PRSA East Central District and Cincinnati PRSA.
Krystan earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Northern Kentucky University (’07) where she received the Northern Kentucky University Celebration of Student Creativity Award for her work as editor of its literary journal, Pentangle, and the Department of English Student of the Year award in 2007. She is a member of the board of the Friends of Steely Library at NKU. She lives in Mt. Washington with her husband and two children. When not hard at work for her Scooter Media clients, you can usually find her volunteering to plan or execute a community event or fundraiser at her children’s school (#IAmCPS), where she has served in roles ranging from president to communications chair of the parent-teacher organization.
