Goodbye 2025 … and hello, 2026!
As 2025 winds down, the Scooter Media crew is taking a moment to look back on a year of growth, challenges, and wins, while also setting fresh intentions for what we hope to achieve both professionally and personally in the year ahead.
Here are our team’s 2025 reflections and our 2026 resolutions:
“One of my biggest highlights in 2025 has been the work I’ve done with the NKY Chamber on their Business Journal publication. It’s a major, multi-layered project, and being able to spotlight so many of their small business members has been incredibly rewarding. I didn’t come into this with a deep background in publication production, so it’s been a great opportunity not just for me, but for our entire team to stretch and grow our skillsets. I’m also really proud of our team and agency as a whole, especially being named PR Agency of the Year for the ninth year in a row by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. In 2026, my biggest resolution is to be more intentional as a leader, especially when it comes to supporting my team’s growth. I want to keep making space for learning, creativity, and a healthy work/life balance, while still pushing us to do great, meaningful work for our clients. At the end of the day, my goal is to help the agency grow in a way that feels sustainable, rewarding, and true to who we are.” – Shannan Boyer, President & Founder
“In 2025, I made working out a priority, so I would say that was a personal goal I achieved. Professionally, I feel as though I’ve managed to help my team members grow and do really excellent work for our clients. I want to continue to focus on my health and wellness, do excellent work for clients, and celebrate new beginnings! And, spend more time with friends and family.” – Lauren Vogel, APR, Vice President of Client Services
“By far my professional highlight for 2025 was being able to work with and mentor our junior staff members and watch them truly come into their own as PR practitioners. I have also enjoyed diving more into the business side of things in my new role as Digital Director, including attending more networking events. Finally, I also have to shout out my social media training sessions with the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center — it’s one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on in my 9 years at Scooter Media, as the organization has an incredible mission and is filled with incredible people! In the upcoming year, my most important professional resolution is to try new things, especially on social media. When work gets busy it can be easy to rest on strategies that are tried and true, but I really want to push myself (and my team!) to keep being creative and innovative as the social media landscape continues to change every day.” – Drew Boehmker, Digital Director
“2025 was a great year for strengthening connections with the Scooter Media team and all of the amazing clients we support. It was also a highlight to once again celebrate bringing home the PRSA Blacksmith award for Large Agency of the Year in our region. I’m resolving to enter into 2026 with fresh perspectives, renewed spirit and lots of coffee!” – Amber Potter, Public Relations Account Supervisor
“Personally, I made it a goal to get healthier in 2025 and have lost over 50 pounds. Professionally, I submitted my first Blacksmith submission and am helping develop the agency’s influencer offerings, set to roll out in 2026. Continuing on my health journey in 2026 and continuing to work hard and build meaningful relationships.” – Danielle Reynolds, Public Relations Account Supervisor
“This year, I’m proud to say that I hosted 80 podcast interviews for the NKY Chamber of Commerce NKY Spotlight Podcast! This is the most I’ve done since I took over hosting in 2021. Many of these are with small business owners making their first appearance on a podcast, and I do my best to uphold the promise that it’s the “easiest interview they’ll ever do.” Professionally, in 2026, I would like to help secure more media coverage for my clients, with a focus on landing in-studio opportunities! Personally, I would like to learn how to long arm quilt!” – Sarah Brookbank, Integrated Communications Manager
“I am happy that one of my main projects, the NKY Business Journal, won an award for the second straight year. To spend less money on fun things now so I can enjoy others later. It’s going to be ROUGH!” – Tabari McCoy, Content Specialist
“This year, I focused on continuing to work hard in all aspects of my life. Professionally, I found ways to continue to grow in the media relations world, where I got clients set up with some new segment opportunities and some new media personalities. Personally, I upped my running game a lot, which has been really healing and transformative for me. That allowed me to go after and conquer my first half-marathon, which is something I never envisioned myself accomplishing, and I’m just so proud to have that finisher medal. In 2026, I want to turn the dial up a bit. I want to take what I did in 2025 and continue to grow professionally and personally. I want to continue to prioritize and focus on my health, both physically and mentally. I want to find other ways to grow professionally and really advance my skillset. I want to go after things that push me out of my comfort zone a little as well.” – Katie Forcade, Media Relations Specialist
“I was honored to receive the PRSA New PR Professional of the Year award! This was a great achievement that was not only a personal one, but also a reflection of the great support I have across the entire Scooter team. Personally, it was a huge year, as I got married and we moved into our first house! Professionally, I would love to continue to grow my leadership skills and translate those into being a great teammate, as well as someone my clients can lean on for support wherever they need it. Personally, I am going to try to push myself to do more things, no matter how big or small! Specifically, now being a homeowner, there are a lot of projects that I have ambitions of doing. Some are quite daunting, but I really want to push myself to get them done!” – Chase Prather, Account Specialist
“2025 was another amazing year. I had the opportunity to perform in two local theatre productions (Puffs with Tri-County Players and Shakespeare in Love with Fairfield Footlighters) and act in a film produced by local filmmakers. Professionally, our Scooter team brought home another Blacksmith award for our work on TikTok for the second year in a row. In 2026, I want to continue to branch out creatively in local theatre and film, to paint more, and hopefully travel to a city or country I have never been to before.” – Kali Reaves, Digital Specialist
“This year, I have felt that I have truly grown into my role as a “professional.” I’ve been a part of some truly amazing campaigns, alongside my Scooter Media teammates, and am feeling ready to take on the new year with a refreshed sense of confidence! In 2026, I’m looking forward to prioritizing travel, fitness, and living in the moment.” – Nevaeh Votel, Communications Specialist
“As I look back on 2025, I’m proud of the growth I experienced both personally and professionally. I ran my first 5K, focused on wellness, and grew more confident in my writing. Looking ahead to 2026, I hope to run another race, ideally a 10K, while continuing to learn and staying open to new projects, challenges, and ways to grow within my work.” – Abbie Trotter, Communications Specialist
